Stellar further diversifies its portfolio with care home attainment

Stellar has successfully acquired Shakespeare Court Care Home on behalf of its ESP Growth Portfolio investors.

The property will be managed by Shakespeare Court staff and Silverline Care – who have an outstanding track record in this sector.

A new step for Stellar

The acquisition of Shakespeare Court shows Stellar’s continued desire to mitigate risk for investors.

By venturing into the healthcare and care home sector, Stellar has teamed up with Silverline Care – which currently operates eight care homes across Scotland and Yorkshire. The key trend across all of their care homes is that occupancy has always been at close to capacity.

Located close to Bradford city centre, Shakespeare Court is a purpose built, privately-owned care home with nursing registered for a maximum of 80 service users.

Since 2001, Shakespeare Court provides accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care, dementia, diagnostic and screening procedures, treatment of disease, disorder or injury.

Shakespeare Court offers current investors a medium-term, asset backed investment opportunity.

The ambition is for both Silverline Care and Stellar ESP Growth to work in tandem to add value by upgrading the facility and improving the quality of care which will, in turn, enable the care home to achieve a higher Care Quality Commission (CQC) rating at the next inspection and efficiently maximise occupancy levels, which is key to the success of this care home.

By implementing improvements across the business, the expectation is to achieve a restoration of the home’s reputation and to maximise occupancy, including an uplift in self-funded occupants.
