Come and visit a Stellar forest or a Stellar farm

Join us for a walk in the woods in Godalming on Friday 19 August 2016 and a day on a farm in Bedford on Wednesday 14 September 2016.

You and your clients are cordially invited to attend one of our annual events designed to introduce potential investors to the investment and taxation benefits of forestry and arable farmland.

Delegates will be given exclusive insight to the day to day operation of a working asset by one of our experienced managers and will have the opportunity to gain first-hand experience of the challenges and opportunities that each provide.

Both asset classes qualify for Business Relief (BR) formerly Business Property Relief (BPR) which means they offer 100% relief from Inheritance Tax after two years of ownership.  In addition, the assets are physical and tangible and offer investors the additional security of:

  • Ownership of freehold
  • Steady long term growth returns of circa 8% per annum over circa 25 years
  • Underpinned by land value
  • Low correlation to equities, gilts and bond

Each event will start at 10 am and comprise:

  • Welcome over coffee and croissants
  • Manager briefing
  • Site visit
  • Lunch at a local pub as our guest

“Walk in the woods” in Godalming on Friday 19 August 2016

Our forestry assets are predominately located in Scotland and Wales.  The plantation that we visit in Godalming is an example of a typical forest but hopefully more accessible for most.

“Get down on the Farm” in Bedford on Wednesday 14 September 2016

Our arable farming assets are located across the southern and eastern counties and have a particular focus in Bedfordshire and East Anglia, the property in Bedford is a typical example of a commercial farm that is owned within our IHT portfolio service.

For those who would prefer a visit to our assets in Scotland or Wales please contact us here with your preferences.
